Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SIGNPAD (https://pdf-4kz8r6bwy-lane876s-projects.vercel.app) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our online PDF editor and signing service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account information. If you sign in, we receive basic profile information from your authentication provider (such as Google or Apple), including your name and email address. Authentication is handled through Kembo (kembo.app).

Documents and edits. PDF files you upload and annotations you make are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB and session storage) so you can keep working during your session. We do not upload your PDF documents to our servers.

Signatures and preferences. Signature names, font choices, drawn or typed signatures, and uploaded signature images may be stored in your browser's local storage. If you are signed in, an uploaded signature image may also be stored on our servers so it can be restored across devices.

Technical data. Our hosting provider may automatically collect standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, request timestamps, and referring URLs, for security, reliability, and basic analytics.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• authenticate you and associate saved preferences with your account;
• improve performance, security, and reliability;
• respond to support requests and enforce our policies;
• comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information. SIGNPAD is free and does not show third-party advertising.

Where data is stored

Most of your PDF work stays on your device. Server-side storage is limited to account authentication data and optional uploaded signature images for signed-in users. Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Data retention

Local browser data persists until you clear site data, close the browser tab (for session-scoped items), or delete documents within the app. Server-stored signature images are kept until you delete them or close your account, unless we must retain them for legal or security reasons.

Third-party services

We rely on third parties to run the Service, including Kembo (authentication), Google and Apple (sign-in), and our hosting and storage providers. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can use many features without signing in. You can clear local data through your browser settings. Signed-in users can delete uploaded signatures from within the app. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account-related information where applicable law provides those rights.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are posted. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
